In the UK
jazz exists on a shoestring; despite an audience as large as for opera, the
government is said to spend about 0.25 pence per head each year on support for jazz,
against 12.75 pence per head for support for opera.
However the
Jazz Workshop is very happy and grateful to announce that it is has had a grant
from Chiltern District Council, Buckinghamshire.
Other
supporters that we must mention are:
Ø
The UK
organization, Jazzservices Ltd, who list us on their web under Jazz
Education. (www.jazzservices.org.uk).
Ø
The

& District CAMRA’s Pub of the Year Award in June 2010.
Ø
The Watford
Observer newspaper which publishes occasional articles about us.
Ø
The Bucks
